THE COMPANY
Nelson Electronics had
been a division of Nelson Electric since 1984. It is capable of
designing and installing all types of electronics systems ranging
from whole house control, fire alarm, telephone, data, fiber optics,
intercom, nurse call, surveillance, door access, security and audio/visual.
In the past twenty-one
years, Nelson Electronics has become the area’s premier contractor
for installing fire alarm and life safety systems in over half of
the new and existing high rise buildings in the Reno–Sparks–LakeTahoe
area, several of which were designed by Nelson Electronics.
Over the last couple
of years we have completed numerous system integration projects.
We completely retrofitted the Washoe County Commissioner’s
Chambers audio/visual distribution and broadcasting systems with
a new state of the art system that allowed the integration of the
various systems to be controlled by one single source system. We
most recently retrofitted several classrooms at the University of
Nevada, Reno with smart classroom systems.
We continually educated
our staff in the ever-changing standards of the telecommunications
industry. We have evolved from installing network infrastructure
utilizing coax cable to installing leading edge technologies such
as cat-6e and fiber optics.
Our proven capabilities
and long track record in the network infrastructure market make
us the area’s premier low voltage contractor.
